Keep clothing to a minimum of light cotton. Tie long hair back. Always remember to drink lots of water. Medical experts say plain cool water is best. Light food is best for us, with summer dishes, like salads and cold soups, being exactly the right things to eat. Heavy foods only make us hotter. Spicy foods may encourage perspiration and result in a little evaporative cooling effect. But by far the best and most effective measure we can take is to call the local air-conditioning repair people to get that AC going again.
