A long tradition of good plumbing:

John William Gardner, past president of the Carnegie Corporation said: “The society which scorns excellence in plumbing because plumbing is a humble activity, and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because philosophy is an exalted activity, will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy. Neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water.” We may have started our story in the woods, but we’ve come a long way. No doubt we’ll figure out some more improvements, and future plumbers will look on our systems as we do at the chamber pot and the outhouse.
